Evaluations & ConsultingDr. Gary Zinik is a clinical forensic psychologist specializing in risk assessment of criminal offenders and threat assessment for future dangerous behavior. In the past 30 years he has performed hundreds forensic evaluations for state and federal courts, including Sexually Violent Predators (SVP) cases. His office is in Ventura, California, and he is on the Superior Court referral panel in Ventura County. He also evaluates cases for the Public Defenders Office, District Attorneys office, Probation Department, and private attorneys.

Psychological TreatmentDr. Zinik has been a practicing psychotherapist for over 30 years counseling adolescents and adults. He treats individuals, couples, and families. He works with patients to identify goals for their treatment. He uses a variety of treatment techniques and customizes his approach to each patient’s unique situation. Dr. Zinik encourages his patients to play an active role in their treatment to foster empowerment and self-confidence. He specializes in treating sexual problems and concerns.

Fees

Therapy Fees
Psychotherapy sessions are for a 60-minute hour and payment is requested at the end of each session. Call for appointment and fee. |
Court Testimony Fees
Court testimony fees are billed at $300 per hour for all services including preparation time, court testimony, depositions, and consultation. |
Evaluation and Consultation Fees
Consultation fees are billed at a rate of $200/hour. The fee for a full evaluation (including interviews, record review, psych testing, and written report) is billed at a flat rate based on the case. Payment of a retainer fee is required in advance before beginning work on private evaluations. Please contact Dr. Zinik to discuss evaluation fees. |
