Dr. Gary Zinik is a clinical forensic psychologist and expert witness.  He specializes in risk assessment of criminal offenders, and threat assessment of future dangerous behavior.  In the past 30 years he has performed hundreds of risk assessments of sex offenders.  He conducts evaluations of Sexually Violent Predators (SVP) in California, Washington State and for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Department of Justice.  His office is in Ventura, California, and he is on the Superior Court referral panel in Ventura County.  He also evaluates cases for the Ventura County Public Defenders Office, District Attorneys office, Probation Department, and private attorneys.

Fees

Therapy Fees
Psychotherapy sessions are for a 60-minute hour and payment is requested at the end of each session.  Call for appointment and fee. 

Court Testimony Fees
Court testimony fees are $300 per hour for consultations, preparation time, court testimony, and depositions.  

Consultation and Evaluation Fees
Consultation fees are billed at a rate of $200/hour.  The fee for a full evaluation (including interviews, record review, psych testing, and written report) is billed at a flat rate based on the case.  Payment of a retainer fee is required in advance before beginning work on private evaluations.  Please contact Dr. Zinik to discuss evaluation fees.
